Case study:

Airborne Hazards and Burn Pits
Center of Excellence Graphic Design Pieces

We collaborated with Meraki to develop a brand guide for The Airborne Hazards and Burn Pit Center of Excellence (AHBPCE), a national program dedicated to addressing Veterans’ unique post-deployment health concerns. AHBPCE also works with clinical and research teams inside and outside the VA health care system to help improve Veteran care and treatment for these issues.

Working with an organization that needs to be reliable, objective, and helpful at the same time gave us a lot of responsibility. The Creative Cycle team and Meraki blend their primary skills to renew this brand; we needed to apply graphic visual elements that make the mission’ AHPBCE identifiable and nearby. Following this task, there was an ideas dashboard building, drafting stage, tools selection, and a solid foundation to get ready to develop the brand.

Additionally, we had to create a new logo it needed to be formal and solid due to the platforms it where meant to be.

The style guide document we worked on in collaboration with Meraki guides the appropriate use of the visual brand elements for Airborne Hazards and Burn Pits Center of Excellence.

As a team, we maintained some graphic elements to be recognized by old users; likewise, the color palette and typography are representative items. With all information gathered, the Creative Cycle team proposed a new graphic photography style, with a medical pattern applied, always using photographs showing a VA healthcare professional and a patient in a comfortable atmosphere.

The result of the logo we had as a task was resolved using a family typography in a narrow version to create a global connection. Also, we added some starts as a representation of excellence.

Following the graphic guidance allow the client to have a consistent and clear visual message when using the VA logo, typefaces, iconography, color, and secondary visual elements of the Airborne Hazards and Burn Pits Center of Excellence identity.

A clear message was given by a clean design. We generate solid visual elements that help the organization communicate its events, documents, grids, graphics, and letters to its community.
